*Late night meals*

If a person consumes fewer calories than the body needs for proper function, the metabolism will decrease and it will be hard to lose weight. It was found by the researchers that the diets lower than 1200cal lead to biggest decrease in the resting metabolic rate (RMR).
*All of the calories aren’t created equal*
The body processes different food types as we burn 3% of all fat calories, 6% of all carb calories and 20 to 30% of all protein calories. People should focus on the proteins as they are burned faster even with no exercises.
This process is known as TEF (thermal effect of food). If you ate 1000cal of ice cream and 1000cal of chicken, you’d gain more weight with the ice cream.
